The Shed has been busy, Singer/Songwriter Steve Kercher was in with a just a great song "Friend Of Africa", a tribute to William Wilberforce who was instrumental in ending the British slave trade in 1807. With Steve on acoustic guitar and vocals and a rough sketch of the track we headed to my old hometown Los Angeles where we recorded my dear friends John "JR" Robinson on Drums and the one and only Abraham Laboriel on Bass. We brought the tracks back home and carried on recording. Steve suggested getting the "African Childrens Choir" to sing on this and they welcomed the idea but were on the road so Steve flew to Alaska with the tracks where they recorded the additional vocals. It was then sent to mixing guru Kenny Lewis at mixed emotions studio in Middleton MA. The outcome will be available in early November.
Last October I finished producing the third CD for 16 year old singer Tiffany Johnson. Tiffany is a young singer who is donating all of the proceeds of her CD's to the charity "Ground Control", a drunk driving awarness charity.
I just finished mixing an album that I produced for 15 year old singer Jillian Cardarelli the CD is 11 songs 9 of which are covers and two are originals. "Not The Girl For You" written by my son Ian Walsh, Meghann Cook and myself and "If I Fall" written by thte head of the songwriting Dept at Berklee College of Music Jack Perricone. The CD should be available in January of 08.
Next up is a mixing project for "Paddy D and the Mystery". A great band from Chicago led by singer/songwriter/guitarist Patrick Dugan. Patrick was the first student I had at the Berklee College Of Music back in 2003. He has great songs, great lyric content and a very charasmatic voice. We cut the basics at the studio Rax Trax in Chicago and if anybody is reading this from Chicago and you need a studio call these guys. The tracks are just stellar. For info go to www.raxtrax.com. While I was in Chi-town I saw my old friend Dougie Thompson from my days with the band Supertramp. Dougie is doing great, with his management company and their #1 band "Disturbed".
I have added much more content to the site. Streaming audio of songs I have recorded at my studio "The Shed". Many more photos in the Gallery section including additional "Supertramp" tour photos and photos from the John Fogerty Tour I did in 1986.
Also the three CD's that I have done are now all up on the site with three free downloads from each album and links to the website where you can purchase the CDs.
